A Better You

You will often hear people say, “a new year; a new me.” The word “new” implicates that something is coming that hasn’t existed before. What if rather than a new you, the focus is on a better you. The intention then becomes to improve and not to create. That sounds much more like a perspective able to be maintained throughout the year. Plus, what about all those parts you really like about the “old” you – hang on to them! The best part about creating an aim or plan for the upcoming year, is that you get to decide if you want to alter or boycott the plan. After all, it’s your year!
